Hello! If you follow me on twitter, you’ll know I’m on a quest to go vegan by the end of January. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, but I’m such a fussy eater that I just didn’t think it was possible. But now, I literally cannot ignore the suffering of animals in the egg and dairy industry. I’ve been a vegetarian for over 5 years, cut out milk somewhere along the way, and around a year or so ago stop eating eggs. However, if these were in a product I was buying (cake, chocolate, whatever) I let it slide. Obviously, that isn’t okay, and I don’t know why I thought it was! But now, I’m finally going for it properly.
This week (20th Nov) I’ve decided to have NO CHEESE for a week. And let me tell you, I love cheese. Cheese for breakfast, cheese for lunch. Cheese for snacks, cheese for dinner. Cheeeeeseeee…….Sorry. Yes. NO CHEESE. I’m hoping I can make myself stop liking the taste of it, which in turn will make it easier to stop eating. I’m also going off coke (I’ve recently become addicted and it’s SO bad for your health!) Hopefully this week will help me in my progression towards health and veganism.
I have decided to use this post as an ongoing list of foods that I’ve found to be vegan (accidentally vegan or on purpose) that I, as a super fussy eater, actually enjoy. Check back often for new items! It may be a little slow at first but I’m sure it’ll soon fill up! I’ll also have a section for other vegan products I come across (makeup, toiletries, etc). I hope it’s helpful to anyone else on the same journey!
